Julio Jones Becomes NFL’s Highest-Paid Wide Receiver

Julio Jones has been given a hefty contract extension from the Atlanta Falcons.

He has agreed to a three-year, $66 million extension that includes $64 million due at signing. This makes him the league's highest-paid wide receiver, with all $66 million of it guaranteed.

Jones was selected by the Falcons with the number 6 overall selection in the 2011 NFL Draft.

He isn't a stranger to holding NFL records, with Jones reaching 10,000 receiving yards in just 103 games, the fastest in NFL history.

Jones' 96.7 receiving yards per game also ranks number 1 in NFL history.

"I love this city, and I'm committed to being a Falcon for life," says Jones.

With the Atlanta Falcons having Jones under contract for the next five years, he's sure to continue to make Falcon fans proud.
