The Washington Nationals are only two wins away from winning their very first World Series title. The team scored 6 runs in the top of the 7th inning to end up with a 12-3 win over the Houston Astros.

It was an exciting game to watch. With the score tied at 2-2, Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki hit a solo home run off Houston ace Justin Verlander.

"I can't remember the last time I barreled a ball up like that. It felt great. It felt like months ago – probably was months ago. It felt great," said Suzuki.

Later in the 7th inning, the Astros committed their first intentional walk of the season to Juan Soto to load the bases. After an infield RBI single by Howie Kendrick, Asdrubal Cabrera hit a two-RBI single to center field. Ryan Zimmerman then hit a ball to Astros third baseman Alex Bregman. who committed a throwing error, resulting in the final two runs of a six-run inning for Washington.

The excitement continues on October 25th as the two teams face off in game three.
